Meet Bernard Abrams
Bernard’s journey in the building industry began straight out of school with a cabinet-making apprenticeship. A quick learner with a strong work ethic, he developed a passion for craftsmanship and continued expanding his skills with formal qualifications in carpentry, joinery, and building construction.
As his experience grew, so did his ambition. Bernard pursued further qualifications in business, human resources, and occupational health and safety, gaining a holistic understanding of the construction industry. His qualifications include:
- Certificate III in Joinery / Cabinet Making
- Certificate IV in Building & Construction
- Certificate V in Occupational Health & Safety
- Certificate III in Human Resource Management
- Diploma of Business Management
Bernard’s career progressed into the commercial fit-out sector, where he managed high-end joinery projects for office spaces and major retail brands—some valued up to $15 million. Quickly promoted to site manager, he led teams and coordinated large-scale installations, sharpening his leadership and project management skills
The Birth of Abrams Projects
While working in the commercial space, Bernard began buying and renovating properties on the side—combining his trade skills with his business acumen. These personal projects reignited his love for residential construction and ultimately inspired him to launch Abrams Projects, focusing on high-quality domestic building.
Since then, Abrams Projects has helped families build their dream homes, completed major renovations, and partnered with investors to deliver property development profits totalling millions of dollars.
